Camping, moving, simply staying outdoors or traveling, you are going to need to find a shower. If you do not have access to a home or hotel, or if you are on the road, what are you going to do?
Luckily, there are some great outdoor shower options available. You can find a shower and get clean in no time – all with ease. With the different options available, you can find the one that works best for you.
Generally, campsites will have an outdoor shower available. You can use these best camping hot water systems to get clean privately. Campsites are usually set up to accommodate large numbers of people so you don’t have to worry about running out of water.
However, you will have to find a campsite that offers showers. This may mean paying a little more to get into a campsite that has showers and other amenities available to campers.
Portable Water Heater
Finding showers in the wild is never easy – that is why you want to have one on you. Instead of going out and looking for a usable shower, you will have one ready to go. It is an outdoor shower on the go.
Portable water heaters are a one-time cost that pays off. You can have a shower anywhere, anytime so long as there is water. Fill it up and shower comfortably, all with hot water.
There are several types of portable water heaters available if you want to choose this option. Gas and electric are options, and many do use batteries. Make sure that you look into these types as well as other information regarding pressure and size.
Solar Outdoor Shower
Another one-time purchase that you will always have, a solar outdoor shower is a great investment. You do not have to pay for electricity or gas, nor do you have to buy batteries. The sun will warm the water right up.
You simply add water and let it warm up, which may take a while. Since it is solar powered, you will want to do this a while beforehand to make sure that your water is hot enough for you.
A great thing about these showers is that they are reusable and environmentally friendly. If you plan to live completely off the grid, away from civilization, this is what you are going to want. Even if you live in the middle of a city, this is a shower that is always going to work.
You can find several types and sizes available to fit all needs. Some require assembly while others are bags that are ready to go. Choose the right one for you.
Gyms are nearly everywhere, and have amenities available to them. Since the majority of them have showers, going there could be convenient. The difficulty is, how do you get in if you are not a member?
You can access some clubs for a one-time fee or for free, depending on the gym. Many do this as a way to attract potential members, giving you access to every part of the gym. You can then use the different areas of the gym, or you can just take a shower and go.
There are outdoor showers available in various recreational locations. Parks, beaches, and other outdoor locations may have a shower available.
You can find these either as standing showers outside or as buildings with showers.
They work exactly as a shower – turn them on, get clean, and leave. There is nothing more to them, making them easy and free to use.
The only problem is accessibility. If you live near a beach or public area with a shower, this is not too much of a problem. However, if you do not live near these types of locations, you may need to go out of your way to access one.
If you have family or friends in the area, see if they will let you use their shower. You can go in, catch up, and use their shower.
If you choose this method, try not to arrive empty-handed. After all, you are using their resources. Try to give them something or do something to show your gratitude. Doing this not only keeps you on their good side, but it also increases the likelihood that they will let you do this again.
Sometimes, though, you do not have any local connections. If that is the case, try making those connections. You can find apps, sites, and online communities that connect people like you. You can find locals willing to give you access to their shower and take advantage of that.
Do make sure that you use safe, reliable methods if you do this. Go for people and situations that you can trust, at least as much as possible. This is not always easy, but it will give you access to a full shower in no time.
Again, make sure that you show your gratitude. Typically, there are standards and expectations with these communities, or you can set everything up beforehand. Make sure that you talk about all of this before going.
Any time you know you will need a shower, but do not have immediate access to one, consider the above options. Whether a club, a friend, or an outdoor shower, they all work exceptionally well at cleaning you and giving you a nice hot shower at any time.
